Gerald Ludlam enlisted on March 23, 1942 and was the first Endicott IBMer killed in action. He was a paratrooper and died during the invasion of Sicily on July 11, 1943. He was survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ludlam of Johnson City. He is buried in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Lazio, Italy.
