Henry Michalovic enlisted on January 20, 1943. He was killed in action in France on September 12, 1944. He was also involved in the invasion in June at Normandy. He was a member of the 8th Tank Battalion 4th Armored Division. He had lost a brother, First Class Seaman Alfred J, who was killed in the Atlantic March 1944. He was survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Michalovic of Johnson City, and a brother Staff Sergeant Steven Michalovic and two sisters Anne and Regina Michalovic.
