Lewis Pierce enlisted in September 21, 1942 in the Army Air Corps. He was killed in action over Germany on March 15, 1945. The plane and most of the rest of the crew returned to Italy safely, and he is buried there in Italy. He was survived by his wife Margaret of Endicott.
