William Kotchick enlisted on March 20, 1943. He was killed in action in Aachen, Germany on November 25, 1944. He was survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kotchick of Endicott. William was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School.
There is a "Hometown Hero Banner" to honor PFC Kotchick in the Village of Endicott. It is located on the west side of Nanticoke Avenue between W. Union and North Streets, fairly close to the Cider Mill. Going south on Nanticoke Avenue, the one tree blocks it slightly. See Hometown Heroes page for more details.
